I don't know what the deal is with these new lights but it is the glare more than anything that makes them dangerous. Ive seen some vehicles with led lights and they almost look like ordinary old halogen. The ones with that bright white look are horrible. It really hit home a few nights ago when I was on a secondary 4 lane the other night. A car had entered coming towards me about a 1/8 mile up the road with these ridiculous blinding lights. 2 kids were crossing the road on foot in front of me with darker clothing and i didn't see them until the last second because I was blinded. I've ran nights most of my life and after 25 years it's not so relaxing anymore.

My wife was complaining about night glare and asked me to get her a pair of those from the truckstop. She says they really help her.

    Amazon brother!

The round ones (had em on my T2000), now come with defrost circuit.

The square ones - not yet.

Take a look at how the lights are on the truck here (fast forward to 2:05 or so). How did we get from what's in this video, to these #### retina- burning things??

I've worn the Hawk optics night driving glasses over prescription glasses, but fit is iffy, I wouldn't try it if the script glasses are bulky plastic, smaller metal frames work well.

The worst blinding I see is light bars on police vehicles that are misnamed or sitting badly on a corner. The large work lights on construction sights powered by gensets are less numerous, but probably the most blinding.

Any lights that claim to replicate natural daylight are garbage, every one of them I've seen is this ridiculous blue that screws with your eyes.

PD cruisers are the worst. The hurt my eyes at a distance when everything is lit up.

I also see a lot of auto's with their brights on all the time. I'm getting used to people thinking my pickup has it's brights on as the do lower them when they notice that only one lamp is on in each headlight bucket but some just keep on going.

Just as annoying are the European autos with rear fog lamps. followed an Audi the other night with bright red lights constantly burning. When they braked, two equally bright LED lamps plus the third 'eye lit up...after 20 miles I was ready to commit road rage.
