My range selector gives me trouble. Where is this filter located on a 13 speed Eaton?

I also agree with a couple of the guys....

Switch the lever/splitter/hi-low range thingy into the hi side while still in 5th... before every shifting it into neutral.

In other words, when you go into 5th, go ahead & move the lever/splitter/hi-low range thingy into the hi side, run out 5th & when you shift into neutral on your way to 6th, it will be in the hi side by the time you get into 6th.

By coming out of 5th, then moving the lever/splitter/hi-low range thingy into the hi side, isnt giving it enough time to get into the hi side before your in 6th... therefore it aint in no gear. Its simply between low & high.
One thing is, as others have mentioned, you're probably just a little to fast on your shifting. You just need to be a hair slower on getting into 6th.

    Good luck.. hope this helps.

I wonder if anyone remembers non-synchromesh trannies ? And multiple stick trannies ?

Boy - am I aging myself here ....... My first was a '53 International 5 ton Army with a gas engine. My first civie truck was a '72 Mack R ( didn't own it - just drove it - I'm not THAT old ! LOL ! )

    I shouldn't talk - I drive an I-Shift now ! LOL !

Yeah, try what the others said. Select high range while on the low side, then practice gradual shifting to 6. JMHO

Doesn't look truck friendly. I'd rather be at the bottom of a canyon in the woods at dark thirty hours.

Man do I miss riding in logging trucks. Haven't been in one for almost 8 years since my father got out of trucking. Nothing but jake on high for a half hour straight when you're coming off the side of a mountain. Might have to convince my uncle to take me on a trip or 2 one of these days.
