Definitely agree with that. Its the fresh out of school deal though. Chomping at the bit to get in the truck and hit the road. Sad thing is in 2 weeks most of them are begging for a bus ticket home. It definitely ain't for everybody, and it ain't an easy lifestyle.
that's what I get...

Yea, go home son. I would have spent the time looking at the trucks, learning everything I could about them. Bugging mechanics, and finding out more of what I'm getting myself into. Sitting in a motel room, tells me all I need to know. But that's just me.

So the OP quit because he didn't want to stay in a paid hotel room for 2 weeks? Lol, I don't think there will be a single company out there that'll be good enough for the OP.

If you can't be patient and wait, trucking might not be for you. This is apart of the industry. Hurry up and wait. Trust me I would know. I'm in a hotel room right now, and have been all week. My truck broke down on Wednesday evening here in Decatur, Alabama and I've been stuck on Beltline Rd, ever since.
Ghost Ryder and jxu417 Thank this. -
Unless things have changed which i doubt, the hotel is paid for, and hes getting $400 a week to sit and wait....Its in the companies best interest to find you a trainer ASAP! I used to train for them but never really felt appreciated and i didnt do it 100% for the extra money, although it was nice... They had a program back then to cut the trainers pay if the student got a ticket or into an accident upto 3 months after they left your truck.. The pay decrease lasted 1 year after the accident/ticket.. That was the end of that for me....
Pmracing Thanks this.
