That could #### some of us that have ran old iron all our life. Render my 3 trucks virtually worth nothing. I Had the same trucks since JB hunt was hauling rice hulls in Stuttgart Ar. You think the powers that be can't change the 2000 or older exemption to if your truck is not eld compatible it cannot be used out side it's 100 mile radius? Well we got mandatory ELD's now don't we? Let the number of exempt trucks skyrocket. How would this be fair to many guys like me. It may happen anyway no use in rubbing it in their face

Why is it so important to brag this knowledge you have?
The worse mistake is saying this is how you brake the rules.

Not being able to keep quiet has been the down fall of man since the beginning of time

That's what a buddy of mine told me whose company is using RM TND 760. They have a 3 mile radius at any speed. I thought the mandate changed that to 5 mph?

My ELD PeopleNet has the 2.5 miles before it will actually switch you to driving. It pickup the truck is moving at like 5MPH and you can keep driving 2.5 miles. Then you get a 30 second warning. If you don't stop it will automatically switch to driving.
This is only if just start driving without pushing the button to driving manually.

Bragging about what? The fmcsa has the mandates in print. Some just like new trucks or the new smell. New drivers want new trucks, they think it will be more driving and less shop time. Lol. Paper logs are doomed. The next generation will not want them for any reason.

I'm gathering in the past a driver could go over his 14 hours and get away with it the new elogs will keep everyone honest now i suppose? So if your elog checks you in at say 06:00 you'll need to be off the road by 20:00 that only allows for 3 hours of rest in between, sure i could live with that. all it really means is now drivers will have to learn to drive a whole lot differently, where as before you could say have a nice long break and make up the miles now you've got to stick to a more stricter schedule.

Or Americans will need a cabby like down under. Americans and team do not belong in the same sentance.

I’m curious how many of the bubbleheads who threatened to quit before they went Elog actually followed through with their threats. My guess would be less than 10%.
