I was in w Memphis when Arrow went out right before Christmas. A Stranded Driver was selling parts off Truck. I bought the box covers and steps off Freightliner and gave him an extra $20 .Trying to get home to his family. I got on the Radio and announced the situation saying that I’m broke and close to being bankrupt myself but $20 ain’t gonna make or break me at this point. I witnessed at least 7 Drivers come and give this guy what they could. I have to say It was a very good feeling at a very bad time. Made me Proud. Wish I could have bought the tires Lol

All the megas stuck, and there is a lot of much deserved hatred for Werner around here.

That said, Werner CAN be a decent carrier to work for IF you avoid general OTR freight and any dedicated account with "Dollar" in the name.

My second time with Werner was spent on the General Mills account. Decent pay, good dispatch, and I was expressly ordered by dispatch to avoid terminals at all costs. It was a good account.

My vote would go for Covenant and associated carriers. Don't forcefeed me your 'religious' beliefs when you refuse to follow the basic tenants of said faith. Covenant claims to be a Christian Company, but their only god is money. And money, as they say, is the root of all evil.

took early retirement. After he was disabled he worked at a Driving School (55 hrs the week he passed.) He truly enjoyed helping others who may not have a lot of options otherwise learn a valuable Career. Weren’t was a perfect choice at the time.
