The absolute worst Mega Carrier

Why would it hard to get started in trucking without serving a year at a large carrier?

 

This is exactly the point I’ve been making all day long. A majority of the small companies nowadays won’t take new drivers with a freshly minted CDL so those drivers don’t have much choice but to start at a mega company.

 

There isn't enough booze or weed in this world to get me to haul around a bunch of rotten children. I'd commit to having a sleeper full of starving,rabid grizzly bears before doing something as ridiculous as that. Whenever I see a school bus driver on a 2 lane road I salute them. They are far braver than me.

 

USA Truck comes to mind as one of the worst.

 

When I first started as an O/O i took my truck and leased to USA for about 3 months. They never governed me on anything, but the company drivers they treat them like trash. Driver facing cameras that watch your every move. I even went in and watched safety pull up live video on some drivers. They try to con these company drivers into doing lease purchase with their cheap freight and expensive truck payments knowing that the drivers will never get it payed off. Such a corrupt company.

 

I drove a school bus for year. I told my wife when I quit I'd panhandle and sell plasma before I'd drive a school bus again The only good thing about it is the freight unloads its self.

 

I am also looking at Stevens transport

 

Started there in 2015. Not the best and definitely not the worst.
