But the actual miles driven are always more than what is shown on the load board, so that has to be taken into account during your calculations.....

Also, You guys don't get paid to dead head from load to load correct ? (I know this seems like a DUH but just wondering)

    My wage scale hear is
1.01 to 1.40 (Depending on mileage on the load)
42CPM (FSC) (This is updated weekly depending on current rates)
72CPM Deadhead (This can change quarter to quarter)
Dispatcher riding ones rear end like a bear after a picknick basket (Priceless) :biggrin_25523:

From what I can see depending on where you are you can defiantly avg more with Schi. West cost I'm noticing tho is more of a toss up. Equitment is another big thing. Here you take a used company truck that has been put OO'S and they referb it and off you go. Governed at 70.

    Mines a 2011 International with a 10 std 3.58 rears and a 450 Cummins.
427910 Miles and just had a total inframe done. GG Company trucks.

Here's my concern with going down to the bottom of your cash reserves, If you take the loan and cash on hand as well as whats in the Maintenance fund and pay off the truck and say it leaves you 5 k in the bank what if a catastrophic failure occurs and YOU can't borrow the remaining funds to repair the truck? If I remember correctly DFO you said your credit is limited due to you pay cash for most things. If it were me I'd never get my cash reserves below 20k even if it meant I'd have no payment because no payments and no cash is only good until the next breakdown. Yes no payments are great but in the trucking world if your truck can't make enough money to cover it's own costs then something is WRONG. Just my 3 cents worth.

    knuckledragger Thanks this.
