Had a week of vacation. Now it's back on the road.
Shop took the opportunity to replace my cracked windshield and install one of their cameras on the new one. Oh joy!
Now i'm gonna have to figure out where to mount my GPS.

Welcome back boss.

Wow. I left System the end of July. The 680's were just starting to hit Denver fleet. Seemed like drivers either loved them or hated them. They were just starting to get the new cameras installed. What I heard at the time was they weren't going to be using the driver facing cameras. My thought to that was "yeah, right." Kind of up there with the new pay scales will give you a big bump in pay. Uh-huh....... Yeah us in Denver fleet got hit pretty hard. Bunch of guys left after that.
Was thinking for a moment about going back but not so sure what to think about some of the stuff I've seen here....... -
Why did you leave? I left the door open, but don't see going back.
Boardhauler Thanks this. -
They have a cover in place over the driver facing camera at the moment.

In the end I'm not sure I'll go back to System. For a number of reasons. But I miss the driving. The office job ain't as good as I thought it would be. I miss seeing the country out my windshield. I guess I enjoyed it more than I thought. Except 80 in Wyoming, I can do without that one. -

I hear you, those are the same reasons I left for: poor equipment maintenance and lack of pre-plans.
Good luck to you. -
Somebody earlier in the thread said that's exactly the plan. -
They gave me fuel/routing on this load and the mileage is back where it used to be. Might be a glitch in the system if no fuel/routing is assigned.
