Hey Bill, could you send me a PM. I'd like to pick your brain and at my current posting rate I won't be able to send a PM til sometime in early 2016. Got some info on a LP deal that you may be able to compare info on.

Just remember, to hit the numbers you are talking about you need to run hard so being independent with a two truck operation with require some additional support. Then if you don't have the $20-$25K per truck in the back you are looking at factoring at 5%.
Your numbers are very optimistic for a new carrier to get. -
that's getting the truck to $1.57 per mile at 74% and $1.74 at 84% and running 2500 miles per week.
I should have copies of load sheets from one of the drivers who is doing this later this week to support these numbers.
Load sheets of exactly him doing that and what he's being paid since Jan 1 this year.
Driving home Saturday the numbers were eating at me and that's when I sat down and did the hard math on them.
Weekly loads leaving Minnesota to the east coast and LTL partials on the way back.
I was doing some follow up on a truck I was looking to possibly purchase and it lead to some other discussions. -
Funny, people talk about how bad lease purchase programs are but don't hear a lot about how these mileage leases are a slow death. With rates these days companies are going to have record profits again.DrtyDiesel, jessnco and US MARINE Thank this. -
did these ever get answered? -
I hope to get responses done tonight when I get to the TS.
It normally isn't this bad but have 100 loads that have to be completed by the end of April and can only do 4 loads a day. Anyone want to pull a hopper for a week or so?
Signed, Desperately Seeking Power Only O/O in ILjessnco Thanks this. -
I checked and my own authority will be around $5500.00

Bill,
The company I am with doesn't pay anything now. I signed a lease that figures 1.41 with surcharge. My original says 50 per stop reimbursed for fax scales tolls. Carrier pay all lumper fees.
Well they didn't reimburse for scales nor fax as a matter of fact they deducted from my pay. The sad part is I paid cash out of my pocket not with thier money so in all reality I paid twice. Also they gave me a comcheck for lumper then deducted that as well.
Oh wait here is the best part, when they sent me my account settlment paper work they attached a new lease agreement with it. The new one says I am responsible for everything and no reimbursements will be made. they also dropped there stop pay to 30.
So yep I am looking for a new company or going out on my own.
the best part was the fuel discount (JOKE THAT IS) i spent a thousand dollars on fuel at pump prices. My discount was $14 from company.
If I change companies what happens with my registration? They registered my truck under their base plate but I am paying for it.
It is a walk away lease unless that changed.
Just for your information I own my truck no lease no lien.
