DTB does decent stock audio but his receive sucks. He has a hard time reproducing the sound of the human voice above 2500 Hertz though. I found a pretty cool app on the Android play store that lets you measure frequency response of over the air audio.
Hey Craig if you read the specifications for your radio and you measure the frequency response of your transmitted audio I think you'd be quite surprised at what you find with that app. It's called FFT Spectrum analyzer.

iron horse 128 Thanks this. -
How does it puck up out put from the radio?

I am currently looking for a reputable CB repair shop that can work on Galaxy radios and Texas Star amps can anybody refer me and the Baltimore Maryland or Pennsylvania area
-
I have an XLR cable plugged into my speaker which is connected to my speaker jack on my radio.

I just bought a Stryker 955 v2, already modified to function as a CB (actually I bought 2 of them) waiting on them to be delivered. I know a lot of people don't run with their radio's on, with 2 of them I can talk to myself (kidding) I accidentally added 2 of them to my cart and didn't realize it until paying.
Always good to have a back up I guess. I also bought coax LMR 400uf and pairing it with a Wilson 2000 antenna....should be loud and proud. -
Wow that LMR400 is stiff for mobile apps. Good luckNight Stalker10 Thanks this.

Great, probably should have went with 250
-
Yeah I use LMR240 Ultraflex for mobile. 400 for base station. If you can make it work tho, what the heck. That would be goodJaguar115 Thanks this. -
The lmr400 is the same diameter as the RG213 which is cheaper per foot, it's around 1/2 inch diameter. I use RG213 for all my base station antennas. There is a thread here somewhere that a couple of drivers used the RG213 coax. I'm sure it was a royal pain to install in a truck. I believe they bored a hole through the firewall, but I'm not sure. Basically it can be done.Jaguar115 Thanks this.
