I'll just stick with good old dinosaur juice fuel, at least until they've got their bio crap cheap enough it makes sense to run it and as far as I've seen it costs the same a gallon. I really don't care if it's "sustainable," if it's garbage it's garbage.

The only thing bio is good for is putting that algae in the tanks and clogging up filters. I've stopped fueling at Loves and Flying J because of the problems with bio fuel. Now I don't have to change the fuel filter 1-2 times in between oil changes.

Same here. 2007 Cummins. On bio I have to change filter every 2500. On diesel I can wait until PM

I've never had to change fuel filers any sooner than I've changed the oil. Sounds like Cummins engines are crap just like Cats in that regard. My Mack runs great on anything and everything I've ever fed it. Diesel, biodiesel, even a 10% mix of used motor oil when I didn't feel like trying to "properly" dispose of it. If it mixes with diesel and it burns, my truck will run on it.

It’s interesting that biodiesel costs less to produce yet prices are reaching $4 a gallon in CA same price as regular diesel.

Still trying to figure out if I want to use biodiesel or regular diesel.

Actually it's going to "fix the roads and increase public transit" that the near doubling of our registration fees didn't cover. They're going to tax people who can't afford health insurance for not having health insurance to pay for the illegals health insurance. That's why I'm trying to get out of this state....
