the videos capture a certain number of seconds before the actual event, which proves that the cameras are recording all of the time. otherwise, only whatever happened starting with the event would be captured
the issue then becomes what video ends up being stored and wherenredfor88 Thanks this. -
Are driver-facing cameras legal?
The debate continues.. -
No debate for me. No driver facing camera. Period. I don’t care if they have incentive pay or not. If the day comes that all trucks have them, then I’m out. I’ll shovel #### for 8 bucks an hour before having a camera aimed at me. A front facing camera is okay.
And as was said above. The ONLY reason for driver facing cameras is to fry the driver. -
Reason I own my truck and pay my own bills. #### the micromanaging

but it’s totally ok to have it in the biggest holder possible on the windshield. along with your gps tablet, elog tablet and your backup gps. -
Amazing how we are so replaceable that trucking companies will put cameras literally in our face and enough people will still sign up to work for them. OP put your notice in immediately and stay away from companies that are so blatently hostile to its employees. Unless the next place wants to pay you like you're Brad Pitt, avoid the cameras in your face.
