Occasionally you will find there is some street justice like that.

I think it comes from cops being frustrated by people being able to afford lawers to get the tickets for the stupid crap they do thrown out.

That is freakin cool. I wish that was a common practice. I have a pet peve for ppl who double park, thinking they are special. At my old job, we drove work vans in Anderson, IN. This d-bag with a lifted Jeep would park perpendicular with the parking spaces every day. So we decided to park our vans the CORRECT way on both sides of his Jeep just so he can't get out. He called the police. Police took our side of course, n he had to wait till we were finished with what we were working on.

I have an easier time believing that happened in NY. After being in the business for 21 years I can't imagine an officer telling you to do that. Too much liability on the officer and the department.

Agreed that it's easier to believe in New York......if the guys that told me their stories were just drivers I had met I wouldnt believe it at all....but the two guys that related their personal exp. to me I have known for quite awhile and I trust them ....to a degree.....so I still take what they said with a grain of salt not gospel.....It probably doesnt happen all that frequently or at all anymore

I would be inclined to belive if it did happen it was in new york, and id also be more inclined to belive it if it was years ago back in the early 90's or prior when they had way worse corruption problems than they do now.

Reminds me of the long bridge in Louisiana where you are not allowed at all to be in the left lane. There were many cases of the cops parking on the shoulder and opening their doors, the courteous drivers would move over into the other lane and the cops would come after them writing them a ticket. Also reminds me, have you guys seen that documentary on the crooked cops in Louisiana? It is fairly new and has been playing on PBS. Pretty scary story! The cops were required to carry a "ham sandwich" with them at all times. This is a gun that was wiped clean that they could plant on suspects!:Police car v2:
