That all depends on the trainee really, guys with prior cryo experience move along fairly well. The guys with nothing take awhile, plus we train for station deliveries first. Then see how they do before moving them onto the industrial deliveries as these are more hands on and require more understanding.

Part of me was tempted to see if they could work around me being up near Waterville. But then again I'm currently kind of glad not doing cryo. Dealing with the hazards of it. Like when the equipment works I can deal with it. But when it doesn't. Then I have issues.

The big players have the resources and vested intrests to keep equipment at least legal and operational.
I think this economy is affecting the smaller haulers and contractors more than you'd think.

Think I saw today when leaving Maine. A Linde truck possibly heading to get filled at the Messer plant in Kittery. Because they took the exit to it. So I only assumed. Which tells me that the Linde plant somewhere in New England. Was having issues. Or the Messer plant

I know before my time with the CO2 branch) in Portland, they(I think it was CO2) had run out and had to load over at the Messer Plant in Vancouver, WA. Given how much Messer and Linde hate each other in that area, it went over as well as you would expect. I never had any issues with anyone, I waved at every Cryo guy I saw, But the Messer guys would be stone faced, if they even looked at me.

That's a shame. We're all just out here trying to make money and go home to our families.

The thing is that AP flys all new drivers out to their headquarters for a whole week.[/QUOTE]
Can you confirm this. Had my phone screen today and that was not mentioned. Unless it flew over my head

It’s 100% true but nobody mentions it during any of your interviews . I guess it’s not very important to the job

    Sorry for the double post
But can you confirm the fly out portion of the training. I don't believe this was mentioned during my 35 min phone screen.

    viper822004 Thanks this.
