We service 4 to 500 accounts in a 9 state area. Usually 1 layover per week otherwise we are home each night.

Ahhh. I see. Thought you were regional. Our company just posted and looking for regional drivers. I’ve been thinking about doing it. Pays pretty well but you’re out three weeks at a time.

We have 3 sleeper trucks that run regional doing what would normally be layovers but the come back to the plant to reload.
Usually anything over 600 miles round trip they will book the solo as a layover

Sleepers are teams or singles? We have some solos that do the roll and rest in sleepers but they’re not allowed to sleep in the sleeper. Have to get a hotel.

Just solo doing rest and roll.
2 of the guys took the bids because they live so far away from the plant and they got paid better due to the old split pay but since March we went all hourly. Don't know if that will affect the bid choices next year.

    viper822004 Thanks this.

I've wondered that too. The motel cost is equaled by the higher cost for a sleeper.
