Ours doesnt warn you at all. We had Samsara on the last ones and it would flash red if it recorded something. These new ones, i'll look at the brand tonight, Dont do anything but sit there and freak you out. If the radar picks up an invisible truck in front of you, you'll the "Frontal collision warning" nonsense on the Eroad display, and some beeps, but thats it.

Place I work at was planning on switching out the Smart drive cameras with those. Even though no driver facing I don't trust anything AI powered picking up on fake stuff

We've had them since last year.
A couple of guys have had conversations with the boss about drowsy driving at night with micro naps, whip sawing the wheel etc.. Just a reminder to pull over for 10 minutes or so.
I just watched mine from an incident last month.
They pulled the 6 minutes from before I left the highway and the 1 minute after I stopped.
Showed I was awake and fully engaged in the task at hand.
Showed me doing radio stuff, coughing, munching etc.
But nothing that showed I could have in any way predicted or prevented it so the cams get a pass this time.

We had a plant go down at one of our 'elite' customers, so last night I had to take the tri-axle over there twice and and the place was so foggy from the huge vaporizers that you couldnt see a darn thing. Had to get out about 20 times to make sure I could make the Uturn over from the their driveway into the plant so i didnt run over a curb. Had a seal go out of the nitrogen pump, so when you are doing the cool down process, Nitrogen is just pouring out of the pump. Except I couldnt see it, becasue it was so #### foggy. Luckily where it spilled out the back of the truck, It wasnt where I was standing. It stops when you start the pump. When I got done with the fill and was putting away the hose, there was a lull in the fog and I saw where it had spilled onto the driveway and I was like, "Where did you come from?" I thought maybe some flew out of the drain line when I drained all the vapor out. But had the same trailer tonight and kept an eye on it and saw the leak this time. Finished the load and wrote it up, called logistics and put the trailer out of service.. Came back and was talking with some of the other drivers about it, and yeah, its been doing that for several days.......not a single write up, not a single comment on the group chat we all use...I think that is the most frustrating aspect of this particular group, they WILL NOT do pretrips, and post trips and will not write anything up. I take pictures and document everything and complain to the steering wheel. I gently brought this up a couple of times before, but no one cares. So I whine for a bit and then get on with life.

I hate that with a passion. People not writing up things like why did you break the seal on the hydraulic pump to overwrite the pump dial, or like you said for heavy pump leak. Sometimes that will freeze up the pump before the monitor tells you it’s ready.

What do you guys use for group chat? Seems like a great way to communicate

Do you guys run through cascade locks, or woodburn, or ridgefield much? I’d imagine they don’t care to write stuff up if they don’t.

Woodburn all the time. Ridgefield, only if corneilius pass is to
I guess group chat isnt the right term. Group text. We have one with the boss and one without the boss. They will ##### about things not getting fixed in the group without the boss.......when they could just tell everyone, including the boss, in the other group.

Woodburn, all the time. Ridgefield, only when corneilius pass is bad or we think the bridge going from 30 over to longview maybe frozen. Thats the one that scares me. Those guys are NOT friendly and theyre bored most of the time. Woodburn, I go through all the time. They dont want the cryo tanks in their building, so they dont bother us too much.
Cascade locks, we dont ever go east of gresham.

Yeah that’s rough then. Honestly Ridgefield isn’t bad. In my 8 months at Western Hyway, I’ve gotten a bypass every time I’ve gone by there. They don’t seem to care about fuel haulers.
