Air Products has a position called Regional support Driver or something along those lines.

You're out for a minimum of 3 weeks or longer if choose to. You'll either be driving around in a sleeper or a day cab but you'll sleep in a hotel everyday. If you have the sleeper you can stay in the sleeper and you'll get sleeper pay.

No passengers or pets and also no Bluetooth headsets.

Thanks for the reminder about the headsets...that's fine with me as long as I can listen to radio.

    Friend and viper822004 Thank this.

Yeah, I've seen Southern Pines, Airgas, and Air Products all have the 3wk/1wk position. I like the sound of that. Any other company doing something the same as that or similar?

It varies per company. Linde has call and demand driver where some work 3 weeks on one week off, but there is no requirement that says you have to stop working. Its only a stipulation that you give them at least 3 weeks of work. Linde has sleeper trucks, but most call and demand stay in hotels and use the equipment at whatever terminal they're at. Youre going to have to call recruiters at each of the big companies and get the skinny. I talked with a sleeper truck call and demand at our Barn a few weeks ago and he works 11 months straight and takes an entire month off(He lives in the Philippines)

I am a CDL holder with an X endorsement located in Southern California, U.S.A. I have no experience- but two job offers I am considering. Advice/opinions would be helpful…

    1. Propane Co.
Details: Close to home, willing to match Airgas $, flexible shift start time, professional management, I like the manager, I have interviewed and they are prepared to train me, 401k match.

    2. Airgas (Called me today offered driver position)
Details: Close to home, good pay, union, I have not interviewed yet, but will be interviewing next Monday.

Who do you recommend I go with? Who would you go with, personally?
