Since it’s more than likely teams I’d want 150k minimum. I’d say six weeks is enough to learn the majority of the training and even more so if driver has previous cryo experience. Are you gonna be able to see every customer tank or trailer layout? No but you should have enough understanding of how to safely offload since all loading is done by the plant that’s about it.

Nothing new going on here. Just been going to kirkland and redmond, Wa every night for Amazon and am grateful I still have a job. Really worried about what the future will bring if we slow down or lose more accounts.

Also unless only operate in areas that don't get any snow. Learn how to do cryo in winter. Because that's what screwed me up. Since I was sent to fill a empty tank. Then when sent back with a trainer had a tank with very high pressure because of how empty it was. All of my training was done during the summer

    Hi all,

I've posted a few times before and am more seriously considering moving my trucking career down the tanker path, specifically cryogenics. I'm not able to make it into a biggie like Airgas yet (though I wish...they told me they want me to have more tanking experience and 3 years in recent job), so what would be a good starter to get into tanking...to get into cryogenics? I've even considered milk, hot tar, fuel tanking.

    Thoughts?

Haul Milk If youre doing farm pickups, and not just picking a trailer up at a mega farm, You will learn valuable experience at going to the crappiest of locations, Learn how to do multiple stops on a route and learn how to follow very strict procedures(Picking milk up requires you to get a license to test the milk) in sampling and knowing what standards the farmer has to follow correctly for you to pick his milk up. On both my interviews with Linde, most of the interview was my respective Supervisor asking all sorts of questions about Milk hauling and how similar it is to hauling cryo(Strict procedures, Challenging locations, Handling a tanker on crap roads)

Currently in Denver, CO, but looking to move away to anywhere. Hoping to move to Wisconsin, but anywhere really. I have 3 years, but it's 3 years scattered over the years since 2018.

Plenty of companies in Wisconsin that would hire you to haul milk.
