I am trying to determine how close you need to live to the terminal in order to run team hydrogen.
In the Air products hydrogen team driver video, the driver is out of Gray, Tennessee right next to the terminal in Kingsport Tennessee. But, that terminal only has Lin, Lox, Lar. Are those drivers taking a load of nitrogen down to New Orleans or La Porte Texas in order to pick up hydrogen? Or are they just deadheading all the way down there for a load of hydrogen? How can you be from Tennessee and run team hydrogen?

Depends how bad they need team drivers and how long you will stay out. When I was a local driver for AP the cut off was 50 miles from terminal. I moved a year after being hired on, that put my commute at about 60miles. Nobody cared, we also had one team driver that lived in AZ but commuted to CA. That team out of Tennessee would probably run down to La port or Louisiana to pickup a trailer. Most hydrogen trailers are preloaded unlike regular cryo where the driver does the loading.Last edited: Nov 24, 2025 at 1:30 PM

This right here.
So that Tennessee team ran back during Covid when everyone was leaving to be an owner operator so they needed drivers really bad.
But now you must live within 1 or 2 hours from a hydrogen plant or until they need drivers badly again.Cali kid Thanks this. -
Covid was a definitely a crazy time in cryo, I remember I was at AP back then. We didn’t have the massive amount of hospitals that AG had. Those guys were running mad six days a week but getting paid outstanding bonuses for it.
