I always thought it was hilarious that not a single one of the big fuel racks in Southern California required a TWIC yet a bulk oil load had to have it. Besides if I passed the background for HAZMAT then technically I’d passed the TWIC. Just a money grab at the end of the day!

We use our TWIC cards multiple times a week here in the Portland area for chemical work. It’s such a simple thing to get, and most companies pay for you to get it anyways.

And so....with the above in mind....

It's better to have it, & not need it....than to need it, & not have it.

I keep seeing one of your guys guy running north on hwy 101 in Tillamook. Where is he headed? I make sure to tell all of our other drivers who think making $26 an hour is "Just trucking" what he makes(Or did the last time I looked an an an ad for Northstar). I'm honestly unsure why I havent been scolded for this yet. Most of these 'drivers' have never worked on the east side of these mountains and have no idea what they are missing.

I use mine fairly often, both for getting into facilities and for using the Pre-Check line at the airport.

Do note just having hazmat endorsement can get you into precheck. Tickets just needs to be made in a certain way

With a TWIC, you enter the number on the back of your card as your Known Traveler Number when you book your ticket. I wouldn't have any clue how to do it correctly with just the endorsement.

TWIC doesn't matter to CRYO hauling...the only thing that matters to CRYO is a clean driving record and NO Misdemeanors or Felonies. In the Northeast you will end up hauling to Army Plants making ammo. If you have a felony or misdemeanor conviction, ever , they won't let you on base.

Don't even start trying to rescearch cryo jobs if you have a personal speeding ticket in the last 3 years.\\ FWIW..

Scranton AAP has two 13K nitrogen tanks filled by Messer. Security runs a NICS check to check you, same as you were buying a pistol.
