We will start our annual bid 1st of November and shortly after begin contract negotiations.
Asking for 50% over 4 yrs which is over $50 in final yr.77fib77, Cali kid, scythe08 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Company has booked my flight, ride and hotel for Monday orientation. Just need to buy another suitcase, carry on and steel toe boots. Since looks like those boots are a policy at Southern Pines. I asked since they also do flatbed. Assuming it didn't apply to me. But was told "It's technically policy to have steel toe"
77fib77, scythe08, RockinChair and 1 other person Thank this. -
I personally hate the steel toe and buy a composite toe it meets requirementskemosabi49, scythe08 and lual Thank this.

Yes dealing with cryo offloading/loading with steel toes sucks, always go composite as temps can dip 20 degrees if not more then the ambient temperature.77fib77, Dennixx, scythe08 and 1 other person Thank this.

I agree with both you and Cali. I buy composite toe as well and between the boot being lighter(maybe its placebo. It feels like its lighter) My toes dont get as hot or cold as steel toe. I've become a big fan of KEEN Boots.Dennixx Thanks this.

Partial to the usa made red wings.
We get $240 annually and with a union discount I get I pair each year and make up the difference out of pocket..
Helps that the factory is 30 minutes from the plant and we have stops in the town so I've just parked off duty and went inside and bought a pair. -
I have been just wearing some LL Bean hiking shoes. Think once I had steel toes. I think I remember going to Pax East (Geek expo) with them. Because security picked them up

You guys keep your truck payments low.77fib77 and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
Well yeah private fleets get the majority of the work then, common carrier company drivers, then leased on operators.
