Any gauntlet style welding glove will work, get some with reinforced palms as this is usually where they tear over time.
Oh and if they get wet be careful because they can get stuck to hoses and tear they also lose their insulation protection when wet. This why I carry multiple pairs on rainy days and rotate them out . Then put the wet ones on the dash with the defroster on to dry. IMG_2237.png

Is there anyone particular Cryo company by reputation that's better than the other? Whether that be in terms of work culture, reputed for micromanaging or easily terminating their employees, benefits and pay, etc.

    In my opinion.
(Linde/Praxair) and Air Products are the top companies to work for. Then it’s (Airgas/Air Liquide) or Messer and at the bottom you have Matheson. I might be forgetting one but those are the major one’s.

I’ve loaded at Praxair, Matheson and Airgas. Airgas was the most pleasant, very willing to help load me. Then Praxair, they seemed very stuck up lol. Maybe cause I am from Air Products. And at the worst plant I’ve ever loaded was Matheson, I never want to go back there. They seem so miserable and in a rush to get out of there. Plus all they did was complain the whole time I was there.

Based on the 2 ones I have been at. Seems fine. But that's 2 out of hundreds maybe. One really did want you wearing hard hat and etc while near the back of the trailer while loading. But that's honestly what you should be doing

We can all agree Matheson is the worst of the majors.

Actually one of the guys that trained me. Said Matheson wanted them to work for them. Not SPT. But he declined because he knows he is at a better place

In general, what would you say an average day for a cryo driver would be like?
For example, how many delivery stops could be made within a shift/day, is it all daytime deliveries, or are night shifts available? With all of that said, would these involve 10-hour days, or up to 14 hour days?

That’s entirely dependent on the terminal you run out of and the types of customers they service. Now when I worked for AirProducts it was for the biggest terminal on the west coast. So we had a shift starting every hour and sometimes multiple guys starting at the same time. Our days averaged 12hrs and layovers depended on start time some guys got them once a week some once a month. Some Cryo customers you empty in one stop some you have multiple stops off of one trailer. Our night guys got a lot of multi stop runs due to less traffic. There’s just lots of variables to take into account.
