I would add that as a manufacturer/producer employee as opposed to a contract/carrier employee you will see much more variety.
From rigs to trailers to customers.
My plant services about 400 customers in a 9 state area so rarely is it repetitive.
But we do have guys that love to stay local and work the same customer base.
And some like me thrive on variety.

How's things overall at Air Products at the moment?? They are hiring in my area and also offering $10k sign on bonus. Not sure if I should consider this a red flag. As far as I know they deliver to Philadelphia and New York City from that plant. I met a guy one time that's been there for nearly 20 years and he said that he loves it. I also know a driver who works there and I could probably put him as a reference.
Also I have to mention that I did get a ticket few months ago on my motorcycle. It was for obedience to traffic signs. Will that ticket disqualify me from getting a job?? That was my first ever moving violation that I received.Friend Thanks this. -
I will apply to AP and Airgas, because what I am reading are the top companies. I am also looking to move to another State in the near future, Maybe Southeastern US. I am getting tired of living in the Northeastern US. Thinking about my retirement will come in a few decades and looking to settle somewhere more warm and get a few acreages, ride motorcycles more often on days off and prepare myself for the Zombie apocalypse.
All right rich people, any direct info's are very much appreciated. Do not hold back to point out anything stupid I said, I do not get offended easily.
Thanks.Friend Thanks this. -

Tanks have a full point marked on them as do the paperwork and the customer screen on the computer.
All 3 may be different numbers but the tank has a full trycock valve that is open during fill.
As you get close to the full point the gas escaping will turn to liquid when it's full. You may also see a pressure spike.
You will ALWAYS read your driver instructions before you even leave.
Sometimes you'll only offload so much into each stop by cubic ft or by tank inches.
Just must remember that not all tanks are plumbed or react the same.
Good luck -
Yes, I have been reading this thread and see the talk about tanks and somehow I get around idea about gases offloading, and the process involved, but your answer was very good and direct to the point I am imagining how/what is needed when offloading.Last edited: Jan 7, 2024

Otr Traveler, Friend and Dennixx Thank this. -
Also trailers are setup differently. Most of the time you do use the same valves. But you need to find out where they are before doing anything. Normally things are labeled. But the equipment because of cost. They often rebuild them instead of getting brand new ones. So labels could be worn off. It's worse on customer tanks. Where need to just look what looks like what your looking for
