I would add that as a manufacturer/producer employee as opposed to a contract/carrier employee you will see much more variety.
From rigs to trailers to customers.
My plant services about 400 customers in a 9 state area so rarely is it repetitive.
But we do have guys that love to stay local and work the same customer base.
And some like me thrive on variety.
2 lane podunk customer locations and layovers

How's things overall at Air Products at the moment?? They are hiring in my area and also offering $10k sign on bonus. Not sure if I should consider this a red flag. As far as I know they deliver to Philadelphia and New York City from that plant. I met a guy one time that's been there for nearly 20 years and he said that he loves it. I also know a driver who works there and I could probably put him as a reference.

Also I have to mention that I did get a ticket few months ago on my motorcycle. It was for obedience to traffic signs. Will that ticket disqualify me from getting a job?? That was my first ever moving violation that I received.

I am watching some videos about offloading and I am getting the idea how it is. Most is following sequences on hooking up, waitings, checking customer tanks, opening valves and checking pressures. I did not see any calculations made to know how much product to offload, it is all gauges watching and valves control to balance it. I said mental and it is keeping a sequence and remembering how to do the job, but i thought would involve more like calculations sort of things. I still reading this tread. I am very patient and I do not mind losing a few more minutes to check and have no surprises.
I will apply to AP and Airgas, because what I am reading are the top companies. I am also looking to move to another State in the near future, Maybe Southeastern US. I am getting tired of living in the Northeastern US. Thinking about my retirement will come in a few decades and looking to settle somewhere more warm and get a few acreages, ride motorcycles more often on days off and prepare myself for the Zombie apocalypse.
All right rich people, any direct info's are very much appreciated. Do not hold back to point out anything stupid I said, I do not get offended easily.
    Thanks.

Tanks have a full point marked on them as do the paperwork and the customer screen on the computer.
All 3 may be different numbers but the tank has a full trycock valve that is open during fill.
As you get close to the full point the gas escaping will turn to liquid when it's full. You may also see a pressure spike.

You will ALWAYS read your driver instructions before you even leave.
Sometimes you'll only offload so much into each stop by cubic ft or by tank inches.

Just must remember that not all tanks are plumbed or react the same.

    Good luck

    Thanks,
Yes, I have been reading this thread and see the talk about tanks and somehow I get around idea about gases offloading, and the process involved, but your answer was very good and direct to the point I am imagining how/what is needed when offloading.

Once while training. We forgotten to open the trycock. So might of triggered the safety system venting the tank. Just glad stuff like that exists. I can't imagine what will happen if it didn't

Once upon a time I was still in training unloading into two tanks at one time. Trainer was busy on a phone call and he forgot to mention that this customers crossover didn’t work and their liquid level gauges weren’t accurate either. So I’m doing my thing when all of a sudden pressure spikes on only one tank because it’s full and it starts blowing liquid nitrogen all over the ground out of the vent. I’m trying not to panic and shut down the pump. I’m also trying to get the trainers attention, he finally comes out all nonchalant and asks. So what happened and what did you do? So I told him and he just laughed and said well you didn’t completely panic and learned something new, good job.:laughing6:

What you’re seeing is routine yes but things to take into consideration is the size of the customers tank. Do they have specific offloading requirements gpm/pump pressure/ tank pressure? Also cryo isn’t just like a regular liquid, if offloading into a tank that has warmer liquid or is low on product your gonna have a pressure spike and may not be able to fill tank to its “full level of 95%” because the liquid is flashing off in the tank. Like I said there’s lots you don’t see or know that comes in time and experience, a simple video can’t show you everything.

Also trailers are setup differently. Most of the time you do use the same valves. But you need to find out where they are before doing anything. Normally things are labeled. But the equipment because of cost. They often rebuild them instead of getting brand new ones. So labels could be worn off. It's worse on customer tanks. Where need to just look what looks like what your looking for
