So I'm going for a little retraining. Well more of a refresher. Because seems like not running nitrogen for over a month. Screwed me up. But atleast I have yet broken anything.

Use to see maybe 5 or 6 plug power trucks around Houston. But now when ever I see plug power anything its only there trailers being pulled by Genox. Asked a few people and nobody seems to know or talk to any plug power teams. I hear they get a good hourly rate though.

    Linde here.

We suck it up and run it. I carry a insulated work pants and jacket to swap into if needed, plus an insulated waterproof bib if its even colder. If it's cold enough, run the PTO during pump cooldown to warm up the hydraulic system and fluid before engaging the pump and putting it under load.

Downside of -30 is it's a bit harder to build pressure, but that's just a minor adjustment to the bleed valve. Big PTO-driven pumps are nice for that.

    Friend Thanks this.

Well it's sounding like I'm probably no longer doing cryo. Was told based on trainers. I can't adapt fast enough to deal with different tanks and trailers. I understand why their worried about that. It's a dangerous job. But atleast I have learned some stuff.

    viper822004 and scythe08 Thank this.

Dude, go to a private cryo company. You wont get the training you need from these third party carriers, based on your experience and others that I've seen. Especially with the equipment issues as well. Linde wont let you on your own until you're ready. you''ll be let go go BEFORE you go out on your own if you cant adapt and learn. If you want to stay on cryo, then move your career to a higher level and go with a higher level company.
