I’m sure that’s the case because that’s how it was when I was at AirProducts. Oh and we never got a retention bonus until they lost the hydrogen contract.

Not sure what Air Products is doing but their stock keeps plummeting. It’s been going down for a year now and recently just took a bigger dive.

They are all at rates that differ.
Union ones negotiate their's and others are market rates+ for the area.

I left air products myself last week, they seem to be dropping employees like flies lately.

I talked to both Linde for a driving position and Air Gas, Lindes pension seems interesting but I guess I don't know enough about it.

Last time I was in the bay running for AirProducts they already had LGT running daycabs. Looks like won’t be long till they just let that part go to the carriers. They messed up years back when the concrete guys next door from Santa Clara were paid more per hour then AP drivers.

Doesn't surprise me, they already do that in TX and the rest of the south. They have contractors sitting on standby for days down there, LGT out west didn't get a lot of work because they ran sleepers, so if they got daycabs it won't be long now.

I overheard some of the managers talking and they mentioned the movie "Moneyball" in relation to lowering costs, not sure what they meant by that. Maybe they're looking to lower costs by hiring cheaper workers or maybe they want to use the Samsara points system to decide how much a driver should be paid?

We always found the contractors cost a lot more in the long run and they constantly messed up deliveries. We would always tell dispatch/ management if you want to lose a contract send those guys! Lol

Why did you end up leaving Air Products? I know they also stopped the retention bonus they had just implemented two years ago. Didn’t take long.
