I remember a 22yr driver getting fired from the old Linde because he was sitting in the truck while unloading at space x. I knew something was weird that day. Because a pickup just kept driving around then sitting.

I just pulled out my collapsible chair and sat down in the shade after I got it unloading how I wanted. But thought the truck was a security guy. Then then that Friday I heard he got fired because of a picture of him sitting in the truck. Witch was crazy because management said you could sit in the truck to warm up or cool off depending on the weather. And that was his excuse because it was 100+ that day.

But while I was at airgas. They told us we couldn't sit down while unloading. Because if your sitting your not watching the gauges. These private cryo companies are the same in some ways. But different in there rules. Some will give a guy a pass, where others with fire a driver quickly.

Some want the driver looking straight ahead with hands 10 & 2. No eating, no radio, because either that terminal or that company considers things like that to be distraction. I've only heard of messer and matheson drivers getting fired since they went with AI. But feel Linde/Praxair and Air Products are the best 2 to work for.

We’ve had “AI” cameras for awhile now don’t really notice anything different. But I was never really ever getting called into the office before.
Been running my tail off between Colorado and Texas out of SoCal. Running both highly compressed and liquid hydrogen.

    Hmmmmmm....let's see.....

    • The stock price for Air Products has been falling
    • Drivers are leaving Southern Pines Trucking
    • Matheson has let a bunch of drivers go
    • KAG is hiring only teams for cryo duty
Am I misreading the tea leaves here -- or is the cryo sector hitting some real turbulence of late? And if so -- why? :dontknow:

KAG wants to be the SWIFT of the tanker world. I'd sure hate to see that.

They're a strange outfit. One terminal that I know of, everybody is calm and happy with the way things are. Go north about two hundred miles and you'll find a terminal where everybody hates each other and do nothing but whine and complain. No continuity.

    Maybe not Swift.

    More like....Schneider??? :p

(Since KAG -- like Schneider -- does several types of freight).
