The OT after 8hrs and the vacation pay is what I love. Plus I bought my house pre covid so my mortgage is nothing compared to most now.
Cali always gets a little less because drivers are easier to find and we don’t get crazy snow and ice.

Yeah, our vacation is the same. We get 6 paid time off. I'm up to 5 weeks of vacation plus 6 and but we're over time after 10. But we're happy because we got a lot of long runs and layovers.

We can't find drivers. Was 5 years truck and 3 yrs tanker..
Currently is just 1 yr truck..lol

    That is fantastic!
Not showing off at all. They have a great reason to be happy. They went from being the lowest paid Cryo drivers in the PNW to being close or even to what others are making. I didnt list everything they have. Their layover is the worst I have ever seen. $1 per hour that you are laid over.

We don't get paid layover except for 45 meal money.
But we get to keep the hotel points which are of value to me as a traveler on 2 wheels.
Specialized trucking deserves the pay..we put up w a lot of stuff.

Yup we get the points as well, matter of fact I’m heading to Southern Utah next week and the points are taking care of most of my fun!

For what it's worth: I spoke face-to-face & at length with a pair of Linde team drivers last week from the terminal in McIntosh, AL.

They seemed pretty satisfied with their jobs.

They were refueling their truck at about 3 am when I met them.

    They were hauling liquid hydrogen.

They said they were indeed staying busy, with plenty of loads.

Too bad McIntosh, AL is pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

How long had they been at those jobs for?

And is that what Linde wants? Team haulers?

Because KAG sure is looking to hire team drivers now.

Firing their owner ops in certain markets to hire Team company drivers to haul into those markets.

Teams for liquid hydrogen are in high demand for a lot of the private fleets. Same as the third party fleets.
