Well I do not have many friends, I am a bit of a loner. I had a best friend that I saw every day and he left me and moved to Ohio so we just mainly call/text/Facebook. As far as family goes, there is a lot going on with them that has me staying away anyway. I just basically have my wife and daughter and they both are OK with me being away, with technology these days they are just a video call away. Currently I am living with my in-laws so living out of a truck for weeks at a time will be heaven on earth for me.

There is a trucker on Youtube that I watch, he calls his truck his "mobile man cave". He is married and has 5 daughters so he loves being on the road

It favors the trucking companies by lowering what they have to pay into Social Security, Medicare, unemployment taxes, and workman's compensation, on behalf of the truck driver.
Many truck drivers, both on and off of the forum. feel that "per diem" has seriously become a scam that benefits the trucking companies more than it benefits the truck drivers.
