    Thanks redrocker (and everyone on the site), I will try all the avenues you suggested and you are right about another thing, the NYPD is not helping me find this coward. I have gotten more information or suggestions from you all on this site and I will be forever grateful to everyone. We are offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person who mowed my child down. We are having a very difficult time because of the time of year it is. As every child, Josh' favorite time of year is Christmas and he always made sure he was home, no matter what. Please keep your ears on to help in locating this person or whatever he should be called.

    Jimmy, I can’t say I can feel your pain but I do carry a sense of it, I’m 31 and I have been part of burying more Close friends then I have had birthdays, and only one stands unanswered. But did you try to talk the local radio stations? The ones I listen to, and seem to be VERY good in helping the sincere are, WPDH Coop and Tobin in the Morning, I don’t know the producers but I’ve meet John Tobin ( playin golf) and their all good bunch of guy’s to say the least, WPDH covers the whole Hudson Valley ( a lot of local drivers come out the PDH area). Second try would be the Z100 guy’s they are a big NYC, NJ LI station, I don’t know them but from what I hear they are realistic and will give you air time. worst case they might at least mention something, The Zmorning Zoo… Anyway I can help I will, feel free to PM or email. I know it will be hard but try to enjoy Christmas. What would Josh want…..never say goodbye…even when the walls are shaking and closing in, and breathing. Remember.

    Sorry to hear about your loss. God bless you and your family.

    I have to say something on the truck. It's possible this truck did not hit your son. It's possible he came up upon what he thought was something else on the road and realizing what that something was, stopped and didn't want to move over him so they backed up and changed lanes to continue on. Who knows since no one actually saw the truck strike him. As to why he didn't get out to check on your son, well there are a number of reasons not to and who knows why he didn't stay there to at least block the lane. Cruel as that may be some people just don't want to get involved.

    I hope they find out who did it soon.

    Dear Rev
    A couple of things;
    first of all, do you have children and love them with all your heart, no matter what ages they are?
    second, after answering the first question, would you stop to tend to someone lying in the middle of a highway (possibly someones child) or move around him, change lanes, continue on your way and have a good night sleep?
    Merry Christmas

    Yes and I have 2 grandchildren also.

    When we pull hazmat we are told to never stop for anything such as this. Cruel? maybe. Inhumane? maybe. As a driver, you don't know if the person is setting you up for a robbery / hijacking. Welcome to life after 9/11. You have to think about these things these days. I'm not saying driving around someone lying in the road is the right thing to do but if I was pulling hazmat, no I would not stop but I would pick up my cell and call it in. The purpose of my post was pointing out something that no one thought of or dared to write. You do not know if your son was hit by this truck. The driver could have another reason for not sticking around to be 'investigated'. I know your heart is hurting and you want it to be this trucker and you want justice so nothing more I say will help. Best wishes.

    I know just what you are talking about. There was a gang of kids doing this in my little town. One of the idiots would lay in the street, then when a car would stop, the other hoodlums would jump out of the bushes and scare the driver, then start laughing like it was some sort of a joke. A lot of fun until one day a drunk driver doesn't see the kid laying in the street.

    This is a terrible situation either way and I only hope they find who it was that did run over your son. My condolences.
