    LTL City driver usually, but not always. We peddled Frito Lay trailers to every little town in America as a road job.
    Hand(driver) that peddles(delivers) freight(often LTL freight).
    Peddle is a term that some of us “Older Hands” refer to delivering multiple stops in a day.
    The older I get, the less likely I will deliver multiple stops, hence just one of the many reasons my dispatcher occasionally refers to me as a Primadona instead of a Peddle Hand. I am OK with his nickname as long as I get one stops loads. Lol

    Freight peddler. LTL is for youngsters. Remember each driver had his hand truck personalized.
