The dreaded placard removal. Stuck on, how do you remove?

Because you did not read my reply they are dot approved holders thus are legal.

 

I'm not looking up laws for you really could care less if you do not believe me. three tickets in stop over by Rockford IL for having tape, one for no approved dot holder, one for no border on placard ( because of tape) placed oos till a vendor came out and put four placard holders on the trailer before I could move again.I hauled hazmat for over 30 years been behind the scales in most state and I know the laws so prove me wrong. So show me the law that said you can use tape. It really makes me not want to help any of you so called know it all's

 

again I said nothing about clear tape so quit trying to hang things on me. Again could care less if you believe me. you are a nobody that thinks he a somebody

 

§171.2 General requirements.

(l) No person may alter, remove, deface, destroy, or otherwise unlawfully tamper with any marking, label, placard, or description on a document required by Federal hazardous material transportation law or the regulations issued under Federal hazardous material transportation law. No person may alter, deface, destroy, or otherwise unlawfully tamper with a package, container, motor vehicle, rail car, aircraft, or vessel used for the transportation of hazardous materials.

 

Really do not understand why some want to debate a person on telling his dealing hauling hazmat. There is no way I made up what happen to me in Illinois. Nor is there anything for me to gain for stating what happen to me. It was to help others so it would not happen to them. Why is it so many don't read the whole post and are so quick attack. There is no reason for this. So if you want to use duct tape that fine I'm not stopping you only telling you what happen to me. Then to say prove it like I made all this up is really slap in my face for trying to help others. It makes you to want to not help any one cause they know it all.

 

I don't know where it is exactly in the rules, but in Landstar Orientation safety tells you not to put tape on placards. They claim it is illegal and they have gotten citations for it.
