The driver shortage hits another area .

Yeah Cheyenne, Omaha , Las Vegas, Billings and Fargo places i really did not want to spend a whole lot of time in.

Cheyenne is all railroad, Omaha is our Nuclear Strike (Former SAC) for everything, Las Vegas is fun, but the real fun is to the north and west in the much quieter smaller towns. Billings had quite friendly people and tolerable grub actually. Just not much on parking. If I hear YAH one more time in Fargo.... there is going to be a problem.

They aren’t the only company to do this either,I’m sorry to say.
Remember seeing TNT trucks everywhere? Same thing,pull back (or out) of the U.S. and focused on their market share in Europe (in particular their European hub in Liege,Belgium).

 

Are they tough to work for? I have a account with them and notice they do hire occasionally locally which I thought odd as they only have a few trucks stationed here.
They are HQ'd out of Quebec which also says a lot.

That too could be subjective as all loads are haz. They could be very anal about protocol. Funny, my last 2 ”bottle gas customer name here” loads they provided me with incorrect dangerous goods info. Wrong UN # I think it was and my company just shrugs it off so as not to ruffle customers feathers
