Don't have to go to the headlines for a Flu story, Boyz. (This all started from using a borrowed pen.)
I drove home Friday shaking like a dog shi##ting Peach Pits. Sore throat and hard cough. Chills/fever.
Got into bed with the electric blanket, and turned it on high. Took Thera-Flu, in honey-whiskey w/ Garlic.
Shook and froze Saturday thru Sunday. Out of work, flat on my back, Monday and Tuesday.
My lungs were gurgling and weezing Sunday like a pipe organ.
So for 4 days - Triple Six's big, skinny buddy w/the Black robe and sickle, was staring ME down.
Step off, this ain't for you.
I usta think; "How can you die from the flu?" Now I know - It's no joke.
I've never been this sick in the last 10 years.
Just now getting around and still feel weak with a deep lung cough.

Seriously people start taking multi vitamins
    Extra vitamin c
    Echinaccia
    Extra vitamin D
And as much greens as you can when you are feeling down
Also turmeric is good for everything.
    Garlic is very good also.
Everything comes in pill or powders now so just try different things.

Disclaimer I am not a Doctor or health exper but I believe these things help me.

I got food poisoning the other night from a can of Campbell's Chunky Beef Soup.

Chunkies were all over the lot back by the tandems, along with all nighter running to the can with the trots.

My insides were literally crawling about 15 or 20 minutes after I ate it. The trots started about an hour later. Then I blew chunkies about 20 minutes after that. I felt better IMMEDIATELY after vomiting. Trots for the rest of the night though.

First time i threw up in 13 years, and that time 13 years ago was the same thing, food poisoning, but it was from bad beef tips at the TA west in OKC. And I was trully sick as a freaking dog that time.

You should have had that soup can tested. Than got some retirement money. And started a truck museum perhaps.
