They put driver cams in our tractors. The company says it's to battle fatigue whatever that means lol. Morale has been pretty low here lately with all the changes. They've been letting a lot of people go too lately so I'm careful not to say who I work for since they probably would retaliate

 

Nope sysco has the union to protect drivers and they've had nanny cams for a while

 

I’m driving a new freightliner this week. I won’t go as far as to say I like it, but I hate it a lot less than the ‘15 I’ve been driving. Mostly because there must be some updates in the transmission programming, and it’s new.
And the heated seat really seems to be helping my old man hips feel better. Either that, or it’s because the new seat actually has some cushion in it.

So I’m supposed to go back into the Mclane plant Tuesday for my drug test and physical test. It never crossed my mind because they never asked when I first interviewed and Pepsi doesn’t care but I have a 15 over ticket I got last April it’s only thing on my Mvr anyone think this will be a issue

 

I wouldn't know for sure, but I mean these places run your record, so maybe they already saw it? Is that at all possible?

 

I mean I signed off on everything for them to run my background when I first went in weeks ago and I talked to the transportation manager the other day to check and everything sounds good but I don’t know if they actually ran it yet

 

If you've ever driven through South Bend, Indiana you might know about the Lafayette St. railroad viaduct. It has a reputation for catching trucks in it's 11'10" clearance. On Weds. one of our drivers managed to wedge a 13' Hino halfway under the bridge. The driver only suffered a bruised ego, he still has a job, the truck is going to be repaired, and apparently, he isn't the first driver for the company to hit that bridge.

 

That's a rough one guess it happens. That trucks going to be taking a vacation at the works then.
