dude, we don't have any columbias, I hate to tell you that.

I love the job, i'm good at it, I hate the ####ty broken all the time equipment. The trailers are much much worse than the tractors.

    (they are cascadia's)

c'mon, tell the truth about why you came off your route. I think everyone in food service would appreciate that story.

    I know I do. :)

Well luckily for me similar to you MBM guys, I am also getting to experience the joy of being short drivers. Today Monday kicked my butt we are down many drivers at my yard probably on any given day 6-7 guys and 3 of those guys are out for an unlimited amount of time. So basically what happened was my Monday down town cake route became a Monday down town 12 hour non ending ordeal that went on and on and on and on and on and on, you get the point. The driving was nothing but red light after red light after red light after red light after red light and construction zone and rush hour morning traffic and more construction I have a head ache in my right temple right now. It was 12 hours of garbage worst quality driving and some of our harder stops. Unlike my Friday where it's open roads and 45 mile an hour speed limits and zoom you get right to where you are going!

It was not really a good route and was pretty much me doing the work of two people. I'll tell you what though there going to have to figure out something else, because a lot of my stops got delivered way late because I was busy running a bunch of other stops and pretty much doing other people's work and the problem is, it's bad customer service for all the customers involved my regular one's and the other one's I was also doing. It doesn't work it worked for today, but it won't work long term. When stop A and stop B are both used to getting delivered at 7:00am and now stop A and stop B are on the same truck well they both can't get delivered at 7:00am plus the road construction and heavy city traffic my left leg has had enough ha-ha!

Mike2633, the other thing is if they are short for a long time, people start leaving in droves, because they get burnt out and it's a death cycle.
although they don't have us doubled (two deliveries at same time) that's idiotic.

My route was pretty easy this week, even got a center divide (which is stupid for a 700 piece trailer (half of a full trailer), but whatever. Then i get to stop 4 which is a flying J.
Flying J's are FN filthy. Always are.

"oh you can't leave the door propped open, the mice might get in"

uh huh, the mice might get in because your back area is DISGUSTING. So i had to open the door every time. I just whacked it with the two wheeler to open it to get out. Couple weeks of this and the door will be wiped out. That will solve that problem. No door.

    Mike2633 and lagbrosdetmi Thank this.

The joy of brinker's "airlock" system -

    Ring bell
    Mgr buzzes open "outer gate"
Put all your #### inside gate
Close outer gate and ring bell again
    Mgr opens back door
Wheel all your #### into bldg
    Find Mgr to check in
Find someone to buzz open outer gate and continue on with your day

    Yeah, #### brinker

Sounds like the perfect way to turn a 1-hour delivery into TWO hours.
