12-14 with the occasional 16 hour day. That is what a few of their drivers told me. I use to run into one of their drivers every Tuesday with my last company.

Well that was it for me I called it quits at MBM a couple days ago. Got into an argument with the GM about the horrible customer service during the Christmas week. My customers had no idea when they were getting their delivery over Christmas week. Someone called and told them it was going to be on Saturday at 8am, So they called me to verify and I let them know it was Tuesday at 3pm. So I called into MBM and asked who was calling my customers and telling them the wrong times. So I let MBM know that I was going to tell my customers to not listen to what someone from MBM was telling them about the times to confirm it with me first. Well my GM overheard the conversation and said if I tell them that I will be working for the competition, Then he got on the phone and asked why I would do that and I told him so that they knew what time they were going to get their delivery because someone was telling them false times. He said You will not tell them do you understand me. Like he was talking to a child. Well that was enough for me. Not only do they leave the customers in the dark about delivery times but when I try to fix it he jumps down my throat. So I finished my route turned in my cards with a note that said I quit.

I wondered if you would show up, I had heard that you had quit.

I bet you slept really good for the first time in years.

    Where are you going next?

No idea where I am going next. I have enough savings to look around but right now im taking the rest of the year off. Gonna try to get on with the county or somewhere closer to Colorado Springs. Something local that pays around 20 bucks an hour. Who knows maybe even work for the post office.

I drive by the big post office here in North East, Ohio on my way back to the yard and Wednesday I saw a Post Office Tractor Trailer and some cones set up in the yard and two postal employees standing next to it. I think they were doing some in-house training for someone maybe getting there CDL through the Post Office. It sure looked like someone was practicing.

Ohh fun day at work for the last day of the year. My hand held was acting up. We've had a string of hand held problems for the last couple days now, so it's not been fun.
Same old same old loads have been rickety, my trailers interior lights were not working today causing me more trouble so it was a 3'fer no interior trailer lights, so I'm working in the dark, malfunctioning hand held and a questionably loaded trailer. All fun in the sun. However I looked at the bright side, today was pay day and I did pretty good last week so I'll take it!

    That sucks, Mike.

My last route of the year was two days of hell. I had 4-5" of heavy, wet snow and sleet to deal with all day. The shuttle driver jammed on the brakes at some point and the trailer was loaded all wrong to begin with (I brought back 25 cases I couldn't get to at my first four stops). My cargo lights stopped working completely at my last stop. And to end it all, I pulled into Taco Bell across the road from the last stop to get a steak crunch wrap, and realized I didn't have my wallet. Sooo, 45 miles back to the hotel I go.

I'm in the same boat with the going back for stuff that was forgot, got that one out of the way on Wednesday ha-ha! You and I had pretty similar end of the year routes. My cargo lights weren't working to well yesterday either. What I don't get is when I need them they don't work and when I don't need them they turn on and work just fine ha-ha!

Well today something happened something extraordinary something wonderful! That's right I had a trailer that was loaded I felt exceptionally well. Made those 849 cases come off a lot easier.
