Well today for me got off on the wrong foot horray! My tractor came back from night transit late so that put me an hour behind and that time only compounded through out the day. Then I had a bad break chamber on my trailer and a malfunctioning refer unit. They did road service the break chamber when I got back to the yard and parked and was leaving I saw the road service guy getting ready to work on the break chamber. The warehouse made some questionable packing moves with my load. I did a lot of cursing it wasn't good.
Had my cooler implode and fall back away from me which doesn't happen as often, but when it does happen it's worse then having it fall forward way worse. Had 961 cases today which is a lot for a pup trailer, in a 36' that would be full, but you could work alright but a 28' 961 is packed real good. Were very busy this week making money so I can't complain there. -
I went to South Euclid today for some extra credit. And also as a vivid reminder of why I choose the routes that I do. I hate the city.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
KFC in South Euclid on the corner of Warnsville Center and Mayfield Road?! I was just over around that area on Tuesday.

Yes.
Been a few years since I'd been there, but I still told my gps to stick it. There's only one sorta decent way to get there, and I surely don't want to try to make a left turn into that place. I made that mistake once. -
Do you enter off the side street and then loop around the building, when you go there?
Also do they have you go there in one of those like I don't 38' McLane trailers that you see around or do you have a big 48' trailer? -
Our delivery doors are on the right (passenger) side of the trailer, so we enter from Mayfield. There's plenty of room to get a 48 around in there.
It's just a PITA making a left turn so close to the intersection. You have to wait for the right combination of courteous people in three oncoming lanes to do it, while traffic from behind you is passing on your left, in the left turn lane, while you're sitting there with your left turn signal on. Much better to come from the east and swing over half a lane to make a right, which means going around 271 and backtracking if you're coming from the west.
Surprisingly, when I left people actually heeded the 'do not block intersection' sign and I buzzed right out. I think the South Euclid cops are pretty tough. -
I think the South Euclid Police are tough I've seen people pulled over on Mayfield Road for any variety of reasons.

Okay so last week was a good week very busy, but I got it all done think I had 3700 cases which was pretty good. That's closest to the heaviest I've ever been in a week. I did ask US Foods to stop putting all there cases in front of the cooler door at one of my stops. They said they would and that they didn't know. That's about it I need to get a haircut today.

Alright guys, so here we are back at it. Big day tomorrow much more manageable day today. Actually today wasn't bad I tell you what the time just fly's by on Monday. Had a temp stop this morning then time was getting tight so I hustled down town to get to my second stop and back in off the street before traffic started to get heavy. Other then that the day was no biggie.
