Alright guys and girls (do girls read this? I'm sure they do I know @Rocks comes by once in a while.)

Anyhow on this episode of "As GFS Turns" Yours Truly dealt with a late trailer which caused me to have a 2 hour delay! Glad I got to work at 2:30am! Then lets see load quality well the back of the trailer was alright they did a good job with that. The freezer was kind of stupid though and a case of peas was missing, don't ask me I don't know where it went.

Anyhow 753 cases today this whole week I was in the 700s mostly. Anyhow my hand held charger in my truck doesn't work so my hand held has been dying by the second last stop. I need to buy a portable charger for my hand held. The ones in the trucks are not reliable.

Anyhow today would have been great, if I wasn't 2 hours behind. Usually my Thursday is not a bad day it's isn't it's decent case count and low stop count day anyhow I got done at like 2pm and then had to head back into the yard. Usually I'm back at the yard at 1pm.

Anyhow so late trailer for me. Then another guy got nailed even worse. 11pm last night transit brought in a trailer loaded ready to go inner tire blows out.Trasite driver calls it in at 11pm. The whole night goes by 4:30am the broken trailer tire was still not fixed.

That trailer didn't leave the yard till 6:30am.
So someone got shafted worse then I.

Anyhow got back to the yard there was a converter dolly parked out in the gravel one of the other guys didn't bother to grab it and spot it in front of a trailer, go figure......

Anyhow another driver and I were back in the yard at the same time and using team work we grabbed that stray converter gear and hooked up and put together an entire set of doubles, lickety split. For others that would have been an all day project (kidding kidding).

Anyhow you know normal frustrating stuff.

@Cardfan89 , today I saw one of your co-workers pulled over by the police on a non truck route receiving a ticket. The street in front of my house across from I-90 is a no truck route, but it's close to the highway and stuff and I know US Foods likes to go down it, heck I used to go down it in the beer truck.

Anyhow on my way home today and I see a US Foods truck with a police car behind it the police car had his lights on and the driver of the truck had a distressed look on his face and I knew instantly he was getting a ticket for being on a non truck route.

We go through no truck routes all the time, but I've got bills of lading and paper work so it's no biggie. This guy wasn't going to a stop he was just cutting through which doesn't work.

When I ever I go out a few times a year with one of our 50' trailers and I've never been to where ever I am going, I try to do a little homework and plan how I am going to go so I know where to go to try and avoid getting in hot water.

Well everyone I am back on vacation this week coming up so I don't know what I am going to do I was going to buy a house, but that fell through on account of I have no credit. So that's alright I think I'll go out and rack up some credit card debt LOL!

No seriously the bank jacked me around the mortgage officer was an idiot I still do not think I am getting the full story.

Anyhow looked at the house I wanted to buy with my neighbor way over priced and that was pretty much that the offer I would give the sellers they would never take couple that with the fact that I can't really get a loan that pretty much wraps up that.

Now it's not all bad though this whole credit build situation is actually good in a lot of ways. It bought me 6-12 months which is 6-12 months of money in the bank which means more money for an emergency fund and more money to have for remodels and house work or 30-40% down payment, the funny thing about all this is, I knew given enough time I could buy a house in cash. People say "That's not possible." Well me going down the road I am currently going knock on wood of course if I keep up this pace and living like I do, by the time I am done establishing credit, I'll almost have enough money to either put down a sizeable down payment to the point of only maybe needing say $50-$60K for a mortgage which could be paid off fairly quick and easy in probably 5-10years. Heck I could go to a predatory lender for that kind of money if it even comes to that.

    *DISPATCH RANT*

    10:00am rrrrrriiinnnggg

    Pintlehook - "Hello"

Dispatch- "Can you start an hour early today?" (They can contractually adjust our start time an hour each way one time per week.)

Pintlehook- "Sure, but won't I have to wait for my second load??" (We get paid for everything, no big deal. But I HATE waiting.)

Dispatch- "Everything is running on time today."

Pintlehook- "Cool. See you at 14:00."

Pintlehook then makes a call to his lady friend and confirms that he should be at her place relatively early tonight.

Pintlehook runs his first load in the time allotted and proceeds to WAIT AN HOUR AND A HALF for his second trip, which has 2 stops on it. The second stop is an "overflow" of 3 pallets, another driver has 26 pallets and 1900 cube. Since Pintlehook waited so long, he pulls in to the second stop 10 minutes after the main truck gets there. Pintlehook is now furious and eating breakfast at a local joint across the street at 23:00, since he will now have to wait an hour and half for the other truck to finish.

So much for an early Friday!

Anyway, lol, I guess there's worse things to complain about. Have a great weekend everyone.

Sounds half like the beer truck business show up to work and wait 2-3 hours to get loaded.

Alright everyone so today was an alright day for the weekend. Thursday dispatch called for my truck to go in for maintenance. So I got it ready to hook up and go down this week while I am on vacation.

Today I went in and washed the truck inside and out and polished the wheels all that good stuff filled it up and got it ready to go.

Really not to much for the shop to do it's been running really good, I do have a check engine light on which is what ever and my charger in my truck doesn't work if the shop could fix that, that would be great.
I also would like them to get the ball rolling on getting me a new front bumper trust me that will take about a year to get accomplished, but at least get the ball rolling on it.

Over the summer when I was in Maryland, my truck was involved in an accident and the front bumper is totally mangled and it looks like total trash it's all torn up and bowed in the middle it's awful looks terrible. They recently did put a new bumper on one of our transit trucks of course it had a bad bumper for almost a year and half, but they did get it done.

I'm about ready to say look how about this, I'll take my truck to Maaco and have them fix the bumper let them pound it straight and repaint it and cut off all the lose tears and stuff.

So anyhow it would be nice if they could find a bumper and it doesn't have to be brand new I'll take a used one, heck doesn't even have to be painted just not so mangled. Like I said we can take it to Maaco and for $400.00 let them fix it, I'm willing to negotiate and make things easy.
