Remember, news articles are written by people who have deadlines and make their living by generating content.

That goes for podcasters too, Youtube influencers and every talking head you see on TV.

Not sure why people pay attention to these fools.

I’m always last to find out. I knew you guys were awfully quiet lately. The Boss says he’s selling all his older Trucks. Expecting used prices to go up soon. I’m skeptical myself. Less capacity means more used Trucks for sale. More repos, at good prices. A 700k Mile Truck is still going to be worthless. He wasn’t around in 2000, when all the old FLDs went to Mexico for $2000-$5000 each. Sure new prices are high. Big Fleets will still buy them, on schedule. All adds up to more used Trucks.

I just got a phone call from upper management at my company telling me that I won Driver of the Month <takes a bow> and in the conversation, I was told that our company is doing very well now, after a pretty lean stretch. I reckon if my company (admittedly a very well run outfit) is doing better, things are probably better in general.

I haven’t saw any change yet. That article seems like a pump up piece to sell their sonar service.

im not saying their thoughts won’t materialize but its premature at this point.

I have seen a few things ticket up but nothing showing me it is over yet. I have my doubts but believe the threat of Tariffs will push some to over buy in advance. This might be what is happening right now.

It will be over only when it is said here, that it is over.
