Times sure have changed. We stuck our tanks in Sept. when the winter gasoline came in. Once a year. That was some time ago.

We loaded 12450 gallons and had no problem. I know the yearly permits were filed from downtown L.A. each year and a copy was kept in the truck. IIRC it was for 105,000lbs and I don't think there was a length requirement. We never got stopped so it wasn't looked at very often. DOT never bothered us because we did favors for them like providing a truck so they could train new inspectors what to look for. Our mechanic would place OOS items on the truck to test them, it was a very good working relationship.

I can do 11,500 gas and be right at 105,500. ULSD 10,000. 10,200 on a good day. As for the tanks, they use acid to wash it so that'll never happen again. And with all the winter weather we deal with, it's a losing battle. It's a shame, she'd look real sharp.

You can indeed. Some places I'm in and out in 30 min. It's nice when you have a local and then you have a 300+ mile round trip around Mount Hood.

Yea I was wondering about cali kid's terminal specifically though because some places only want you using 2 arms per vapor hose. My record is 8 minutes at a rack where I can have all my compartments hooked up and flowing at the same time pushing 600+gpm each. But my truck only scales 8600 gallons so that's not a fair comparison.

Question for you and gashauler then, with all that capacity, are multiple stops more common? Or does one station usually get everything?

    Weeble Kneeble Thanks this.
