I've only been out here about 7 years, and I remember P.I.E.
So, it can't have been that long.

And when exactly did 'all American' freight end?
Was it just after the Civil War or something?

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn? Remember how she said that we would meet again some sunny day?

I actually was watching some old family videos the other night. Pop had taken the camera with him and was in Alabama panning the entrance to the truck stop when an old Thurston truck came in. This company got absorbed into another in the 70s. It stands out in my mind because those trucks always reminded me of the Howells in Gilligan's island.

Want to take a trip in time go watch the first Smokey and the Bandit movie. Most trucking companies with trucks in that movie don't exist anymore.

D.Tibbitt, bzinger and x1Heavy Thank this.
