There are several old MS Carriers along with USA Truck, stinky Simon and a Celadon trailers I see almost everyday when I'm out walking. Even though the old decals have been removed you can clearly see the names.

Lol I've got an old USA truck trailer now! You can see where the decal was. I actually like these old trailers with the lever to slide the axles better than air ones.

That particular movie was filmed mostly in Arkansas, Georgia and certain other areas. They did a good work building that movie and many locations where some of the scenes of stunts etc are still in use today. You can google it and come up with upto date infromation. Although the river bridge that they jumped in the movie has been burned some years ago in Georgia.

The KW I think they used in that movie would top at 100 roughly. I always thought with a little more room you could get up to 120 with it. But that would be a little hard to do what with the big V8 CATS of the time. Im not sure what engine they used in that movie rig but it's up there.

The Arkansas State Police along with the Georgia State police among other agencies were very gracious and fun when they produced that movie. Many of the places involving them still exist to this day.

This youtube video has brought back some memories. Some of the trucking carriers I long ago forgot about. I do remember most of them.
