Well, for an older guy, I'm still impressed. As far as arrogance, idk.... the FB guys i've met in my 20 plus years on the road have all been some of the wisest.
Not trying to take your "fun" out; I just have mad respect for these guys. I tried it, and it's not for me. It's not for everyone, nor is tanks. I'll deal with my PTI pumps and hoses anyday first!
God Bless, and Merry Christmas~ I'm off 4 days in a row...... paid. Just this "once," LoL~!!

Being a road vampire is the only way to get work done. I didn't want to do it... I'll admit it was intimidating. But, now that's the only driving I do.

Exactly how I do things. I add one thing.

If you seek safe haven for storm and have ice hanging off your rig and the ice starts to drip and fall, TIME. TO GO. NOW.

You pull levers to see what they do. Try loading a grader for the first time, lots of levers in those things. Then you get an even older one and that thing has a wing blade run by a cable and it is on the ground. Most of the time there is no one around to ask how to operate it, you just figure it out. And then there are all the hiding places for the battery shut off switch. Then you have pavers with dual controls, what a pain in the ### at times. I have hauled hundreds of pieces of equipment and only 2 times was the operator there and they wanted to load it. Mainly because I got there before they were done. Had I been later everyone would have been gone. "Real men" get it done. Before getting into a truck the only thing I had ever run was a small dozer, tractors and a wheel loader.

Jealousy is an ugly thing isn't it? He was probably still sitting at the truckstop when @TripleSix left.

Ive seem machines that take 3 weeks to tear down so you can load them. I could give you a couple machines that you might not ever get out of "park"'to get on your trailer. But the vast majority only take me a couple of minutes.

I guess I really don't see the arrogance-more like sharing "war stories".

Lepton1, cnsper and TripleSix Thank this.
