Nope, I made a downshift and it shut off, so I shoved it in gear and popped the clutch to get it started and left it in gear.
We could only run about 40m/hr since the power was cut way back with the bells and whistles ringing.
The load had to get there!

A few weeks ago I was in the shop over a intermittent air problem. Went to the shipper, dropped me empty and picked up a preload. There wasn't anything wrong til I got to guard shack.
Applied the brakes and I heard it, air coming from some where underneath the hood. Checked out at guard shack then pulled into the middle turning lane. Stopped and had a look.
Pressure would build and hold with brakes released but when the tractor brakes were applied air was leaking from some where under the hood. I decide its safe enough to run to a shop about 20 miles away. By the time I get there the problem stopped and later switched to the trailer air supply.
Check in at the shop anyway. Long story story short, a day and half and 4 mechanics at separate. Intervals later, the problem wasn't located or solved. It stopped all together. I'm thinking the air lines to the brake cans on that specific trailer weren't in proper order and somehow managed to make it to the cut off valve on the tractor but I'll never knowLast edited: Jun 22, 2015
