Ok, got the machine and so far so good
It definitely gets hotter then nine yards of you know where,and pretty quickly at that.
Haven't tried the "slow-cook" thing but everything else checks out just fine.

Worth $40 ? if it last 120 days it will have paid for its self,anything longer(which I'm sure it will) is just a bonus.

Recommended ? . . . YES!

Slow cook(6-8hrs) review will come soon as I get the need for a long run cook.

 

Hold on to your pop top Tater! I got one just today at the TA in Ganado TX for $24.99. I just stopped in there to, a) pee, 2) get coffee, 3) get assurances from the locals that I was still in Texas and that Laredo was thataway! It caught my attention as I was walking up to pay for coffee. Couldn't pass up the deal. Good to hear yours is working out okay.

5th time to use mine and it started popping its fuse after reaching 285*F
Cooled it down and tried another fuse,guess its toasted.
Tried hooking it up in another truck and popped two more fuses
so its officially "J U N K "!!

I might get another if they are $10.00 somewhere,would be a handy emergency appliance(limited use)

 

I'm wondering how everyone is liking or disliking the stove to go now that it's been a couple of months.

Also, I'm seeing it at the truckstops for $24.95

 

This Burton digital stove is worthless bought three of them and each one has gone bad. have gone back to the old one.

 

I got one from Leroy behind the Blue Beacon for $8 and a bic lighter. Cooked a pot-roast between Tyler and Longview and a Duncan Hinds cake on the way to Shreveport. Taaasteeeee.

 

So is this worth it?
