You sir are unnecessarily stirring up the problem with calls of fake this fake that etc.
McDonalds is rationing patties to ship to stores that order a lot. They only get a few and thats it until next truck.
Come back here when your Mcdonalds say no burgers until tomorrow. This info is from Corporate to franchisee owners.
We already know that CNN is garbage has been these last decades since the desert storm. But once in a blue moon they put out something.... even a busted clock is right twice daily, unless its a dispatcher that tells you otherwise.
I used to run beef plants and the Fort Collins one is finally having issues. That scares me but at least Dorthys House and Garden City is still rolling along, thank god. Saw this coming 5 weeks ago.
I paid 18 for two boxes containing 6 burgers each and continue to buy pairs of boxes of patties at the store which is already getting short and higher in price. I already decided that when it gets to about 15.00 for 6 which is a bit over 3.00 a patty that will be enough of that in a couple of weeks. The people are already buying right there with me.
Omaha Burgers will be the last order for holiday shipped meats including burgers. Im getting ready to lay out three shipping boxes of them, thats about 300 plus abother 150 in shipping all done. That goes into the deep freezer. Sooner or later they must close as the local outbreaks proceed westward.
Gallup NM is blockaded under the NM Riot act until Tues.

Also abattior numbers to Labor Dept is down each week. Kills for meat at the plant are off 37%
Farm Pricing is abysmal. The AM radio has a nightly song of pricing so low that they might as well slaughter all of them. It will take 10 months to get a baby fatten to market weight. Maybe 60 days for smaller chickens and a season for turkey. I don't know sheep or cattle very much it might be a year or more.
The plants are greedily raking in the difference between too low from farmers and increasingly too #### high from retail ... thats you inside fast food or store. -
I have a butchered steer in deep freeze and a hog in deep freeze. I rarely eat anywhere other than home or out of truck. Surprised to see the Wendy’s at Loves in Albert Lea. Short on beef
Deere hunter, clausland, Truckermania and 1 other person Thank this. -
Although I like to believe that certain issues got settled this year for good.
For example everyone laughed and pointed at the nutter preppers.
Not anymore, we are all prepper.LoSt_AgAiN Thanks this. -
If you look around a bit, not just at truckers, there's quite a large segment that could probably stand to have a portioned meal here and there.
Guarantee driver side shocks are worn out 3x faster than passenger side solely due to the Water Buffaloes heaving themselves up into the cab.
I've seen some riding sideways looking like the leaf springs were snapped.
I know. I'm insensitive.Deere hunter, 650cat425, LoSt_AgAiN and 1 other person Thank this. -
No shortages around here. In fact our local butcher has a pretty good sale going on right now. But I don't think the freezer will hold anything else.
Deere hunter, LoSt_AgAiN, clausland and 2 others Thank this. -
I live on a fixed income and many a month there is just enough to exist on while hungry however its not so bad to keep the weight down so to speak. There is a butcher in Cabot Ive been thinking on visiting. But remembering the butchers back home growing up we'll see how he does it down there.
Thats the other thing most young ones living today don't have. a Memory of a old time deli or butcher shop. If you wanted boots, you had one made at the cobbler who can repair same when you wore it through in 30 years. And so on. Individuals making their trade their bread and butter up and down the blocks downtown.
Thats all gone now. Boarded over and infested wtih addicts who are going to eventually need expensive care or burial. The buildings themselves are starting to fail. Its only like 150 year old brick and varnish wood in most of them. -
clausland, 650cat425, x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this.
