Sofirst day out with my trainer wasn't the funnest. We d/h to keens brockway to drop our empty. Then we bobtail to some other place in atl for a 12p.m. pick up. We arrived at 11a.m. and we finally left at 5p.m. Yeh that sucked so then we had to drop that load off in jonesville sc for a 12a.m. delivery... had a preplan for nxt load so we got an empty and now we are sitting in newberry sc waiting for our 10 to b up which is in an hr. Then off to columbia for a drop and hook going to Calhoun ga.hope every one is running hard. These updates will b short and prolly some mis spelling cuz im on my phone and it sucks... so srry folks! Stay safe!

Well... I just deleted a very long post. Let me break it down. A weekend dispatcher overrode our weekend preplan so his driver didn't have to sit for a day waiting on a place to open Monday. Made us swap loads with him so we would have to sit and not his driver. Now I wont have a check for 3 weeks cuz I wont have my 7 days that I need before my trainer goes home for thanksgiving... I would have had 6 days if I sat all day today but... that defeats the purpose of me not waiting to leave out until after thanksgiving. I needed the money real bad man. So my trainer told me I could either sit for a day and lose my day and not get check anyways or just go home until next Monday... so im sitting at home now. There's way more to the story. But im calling mike Monday cuz this is wrong. And the dispatcher Cussed out my trainer for no reason.

I understand things could be screwy this time of year due to the holidays but you would think after all the years of training drivers the company would do something to make sure the new hires did not get put in this situation. It is not like the holidays are new news. Sorry to hear about this. Maybe Mike can fix it for you. Not saying anything bad about Millis but I hope they make it right for you. Keep us posted. -

That's a tough break. The 7 day thing makes training pay sporadic at best. Trainer hometime, downtime, breakdowns, resets all play into it. Probably not much help but you are not alone in this. Do the best you can and remember to keep your eye on the prize. It will all be worth it in the end. Good Luck.

Mojo said it best - but not sure I understand the entire situation. You have to be out for 7 days to get paid for that week. If your trainer had home time set and you knew that - then you already knew you wouldnt be out for 7 days before he went home.
