Then I got bad info from one of the Millis brothers last time I was in Black River Falls. That sucks! Those coffin sleepers are too small for me.

I hear ya on them coffin sleepers.... I would prefer one over the freightshaker if I was to go dedicated in GA....I can handle a night of 2 in the small truck but not sure how Yall stay in them 5 nights out of the week...if I knew I could make good money I would like to try it out so I could get home more often but I like my T600 and iv heard if I stayed in this one and went regional I would do a lot of sitting due to the weight of the loads...so I think ill just stay OTR until the better half says otherwise..LOL!!
-
The only way you could keep the T600 and go regional is if you were a trainer but then they aren't letting any more regional guys train. A few are still grandfathered in. I can scale almost 51,000 lbs in my FL Columbia. And I am pushing 50,000 on almost every beer load as well as most Meow Mix loads out of AL. You could never do that.

Negative on that weight.... Most I can scale is 48K. I thought about trying dedicated but I think I have to live atleast 50 miles of Cartersville...I'm currently 90 miles and if they did let me on dedicated and live where I do I would never make it driving 180 miles round trip everyday and only making 750 before taxes and insurance.....I think OTR is my best option
-
I can't do dedicated either. I live just north of macon off of i75. And I take the truck home so I'm not burning my own gas! I'm diggin regional so far. Been on regional for a month now.

L.B. said: ↑I live in Albany and that's why I was asking. From an outside perspective, it would seem like it would be pretty easy to get back to Albany fairly easily and frequently. I don't mind going OTR and would gladly do it for the opportunity to work for Millis and to get the experience. At the same time turning 2000 - 2500 miles a week and being home frequently sounds pretty good too. I start MTI on February 6th.Dipschitt said: ↑I get between 1800-2300 miles per week (Mon-Fri) and run typically from Owens Brockway in ATL to MillerCoors in Albany, GA then take a beer load out of Albany, GA to where ever (AL, MS, GA, SC, NC is mostly where I go) then get a load from there back to ATL (if I go to AL or MS, it's usually a Meow Mix load out of Decatur, AL) and start the cycle all over again. They change it up sometimes, like last week I spent most of the week going between SC and NC on Shaw carpet loads.
It's a good deal for me, but I know the OTR guys are making more money. I bring home between $550 and $750 per week with those miles.Click to expand...Click to expand... -
