I would think the 4 hours is an after thought. Your training, you should be driving.

Cadman1989 was my trainer so he can correct me if I am wrong on this. I think you have to show 4 hours on duty to get paid not driving. So if you have a trainer that doesn't let you drive that day for some reason or you are stuck somewhere you can get out and practice your pre trips or backing in a lot for 4 hours and still counts. I know in my case I had no trouble with pay and was paid every week on time and there where days where I didn't do 4 hours of driving because there wasn't 4 hours to drive or other factors came into play. A lot is also on the trainers it can be hit or miss, me I had a great trainer. Also like others have said the book you fill out to evaluate the trainer is for you not the trainer if he says he needs to read it before you send it, tell him you can call Mike Millis on speaker and ask about that.

A piece of advice I got from my trainer for all the newbies and students, It doesn't matter how you screwed up it only matters how you get yourself unscrewed.

Your trainer bent the rules for you... It's 4 hrs of driving. Straight from Mikes mouth. When i missed a pay check Mike had no problem giving me an advance.

It used to be 4 hours on duty to get paid. They changed it last year to 4 hours driving. And I may be in err but I think it's 7 days cumulative, not consecutive. Corp has mixed it up a little last year, so I'm not in the loop anymore. Hopefully a current trainer can clear it up on here for the new peeps.

As mellon said, $20/wk for the school for 20 months. You can double up if you want and basically have it paid off in a year.

It is 7 cumulative and the 4 hrs driving is the same thing my trainer was telling me also and that it has indeed been stressed that its actually driving. Pay has fine so far so good. Take care and be safe:biggrin_255:
