Well.... days 12 and 13 are over. I was the first driver driving on the way to Richfield and I think I did pretty good. We stayed at the super 8 Monday night. There was a bad wreck so it delayed us a couple hours in Richfield before we could go grab our load. On the way back we got a beer load coming back to c'ville we scaled in at 79,600lbs
and I was the last to drive. We left at 1p.m. and got to c'ville at 5:30a.m. this morning. I drove from 2a.m. to the terminal. I did good on the way back had about 4 grinds down shifting to 8th when I bogged down in 9th going up the mountain going east on I-24 before you get to chattanooga I forgot the name of the mtn. Going down we had to stop at the top for a "service" check and them went down the hill in 7th with the jakes on 6 and it kept me at a steady 30mph while every other truck FLEW by us. But that sign clearly said trucks over 75k maintain 25mph. Great experience. Then once I got to the ridge cut in chatt a car got on the interstate right in front of me going slow as piss so I had to drop to 9... smooth
then had to grab 8th and I got a "grind grind crunch" lol I rev'd to high thats all. But I had fun. Dont wanna do that trip in that truck with 4 ppl again tho ha Didn't think I would be so awake that
late but I was wide awake! Can't wait ti get with my trainer "zig zag" lol. But I hope everyone is running hard and staying safe! The Challenger and Hitman Thank this. -

Well today was basically the last day of class. We drove to Madisonville, TN to the A&W place Greg likes. Then came on back to the terminal. Tomorrow we have our backing test and thats it.
Gah im glad these 3 weeks are over, idk if i could take anymore days...... Now i can start making some money tho!!
The backing wont be a problem. Im looking forward to going out with my trainer. He actually came to talk to me today but i missed him. If anyone has any questions about the C'ville class just ask me! Ill keep it real lol but i hope everyone is running hard and driving SAFE! -
Welp Officially graduated today. All we did today was clean the trucks and finished up some paper work. Im glad to be outta there i tell you what because there was one guy in the class i was ready to slap man. Every time some one said something either he has done it or he has a buddy that did the same thing. Or if you knew a guy that owned a business or you worked somewhere he has a "buddy" That owns a business doing that. EVERY TIME. lol and every time i said something he had something smart to say. Another guy in class brought that to my attention and said i think he is jealous of how quick your learning or something. He got on my freaking nerves man gah. He got on 2 other guys nerves in the class that i know of as well. I just dont think he liked the fact that im 21 and hes 35 and we are in the same boat. He was basically just a big shot and thought he was better and had experienced more than most. Im sure 75% of the stuff that came out of his mouth was a lie. But im glad i know im not the only person whos nerves he got on dang... i feel bad for his trainer.
But srry about the "venting" lol the class was fun over all and Greg is a good guy. I learned a lot of stuff in 3 weeks lol now all we have is orientation. Its for sure Greg knows his stuff and can answer any question you could have. Hes an awesome instructor and has LOTS of experience with Millis and trucking in general. Im looking forward to heading out with my trainer on wednesday! -
Congrats (again), Please keep us informed how everything goes with your trainer, Etc. I'll be harassing you for info again soon.
